Headshot of Sarah Berneche

I’m a Toronto-based student therapist with 10+ years of experience supporting adults navigating eating problems and body image concerns. Currently, I’m training in Expressive Arts Therapy, a relational, humanistic, and intermodal approach to healing. I am also in the final stages of Peter Levine’s Somatic Experiencing® 3-year trauma resolution training program (SEP expected 04/25), deepening my ability to support nervous system regulation and trauma recovery.

I have a special interest in providing trauma-responsive, attachment-informed therapy for:

  • Eating disorders and disordered eating

  • Weight and body image concerns

  • Women’s/AFAB health issues (e.g., endometriosis, PCOS, fertility, pregnancy, postpartum health)

  • Sexual violence

  • Depression and anxiety

I strive for an anti-oppressive, weight-inclusive, collaborative, and consent-driven approach, honouring your lived experience while co-creating a safe (enough) space for healing. If this resonates for you, I invite you to schedule a complimentary fit assessment call here or by emailing me at sarah@sarahberneche.com
